Sea Festival

On July 19th 2026, Villerville celebrates the Sea Festival, a tradition deeply rooted in the history of the village for over a century. Throughout the day, locals and visitors take part in a celebration combining a religious ceremony, a procession through the streets and a tribute to lost sailors, creating an atmosphere that is both festive and moving. The procession continues to the sea, where a blessing and a wreath-laying ceremony honour those who lived and worked in connection with the ocean. Music, entertainment and convivial moments then extend the day, offering an authentic experience of Normandy’s maritime traditions in the charming setting of Villerville.
