Wood Festival

On June 27th 2026, the Val de l’Air forest in Saint-Gatien-des-Bois hosts the 5th edition of the Wood Festival, a friendly event dedicated to discovering forestry traditions and craftsmanship. Set in the largest forest area of the Calvados region, this day celebrates the history, professions and uses of wood through activities accessible to all. The programme includes: lumberjack competitions, live demonstrations, forest walks, an exhibitors’ village, horse-related activities and play areas for children. In a relaxed, countryside atmosphere, visitors can also enjoy food on site and an evening concert, making it a perfect day out in nature.
