On Saturday June 1st, 2024, Ouistreham has an appointment with History. A great historic concert will be given in tribute to the heroes who sacrificed themselves for Peace. Beginning with the tutelary figure of Joan of Arc, we will recall the donkeys of the great figures as forgotten heroes, royalty, empires and republics that forged our Homeland, ending with his heroines and heroes Resistance and Norman Civilians but also the 177 French Commando Kieffer. A large stage will be installed on the beach, next to the first aid station, in the heart of this site that saw heroic acts during the Second World War, with a giant screen on which will be broadcast illustrations and the live concert. This concert, with a high-level program, will be articulated as follows: 65 artists who will play, sometimes alone, sometimes together, at the heart of a stage unit.

The audience will discover this eclectic program performed by: – Le Ténor Vincent Niclo , – Anne-Flore Grandsire, Alto and Marion Jaussaud, Mezzo , – Le Brass Band Impérial , directed by Philippe Favresse, Director of the Bayeux School of Music, seconded by Christophe Guilbert, Director of the Ecole de Musique de Falaise, and 30 musicians from the Conservatoire, – Le Normandy Highland Pipe-Band , Champion de France – Le Maastricht Police Pipe-Band Un feu d’artifices , organised by the Normandy Region, will close this exceptional evening on the seafront and in the heart of an emblematic and historic site.
