Vue over the vineyards in the Beaujolais region, home of Le Père Manu, wine producer for Castel Camping Le Brévedent

Our wine producer: Les Caves du Père Manu

Father Manu is a wine producer in the Beaujolais region. He delivers the camping regularly but we were never at home…

When we returned from our family holiday in Italy, we went to visit him. So the winery is located 10 km west of Villefranche-sur-Saône, in Denicé. This region is absolutely beautiful and especially in the autumn when the vines redden.

We were received by Manu and his wife Marie-Claire in their 12th house. Manu told us the story of the vineyard around a cup of tea. Her vines have been in her family for 4 generations. And since then they select the branches and work the earth with passion and love. We then had the chance to visit the press, a mix between the traditional object and modern techniques. Then, the barrels in which are preserved the wines produced that we will soon find on our table.

Chardonnay, Terre d’Argile and Terre d’Hercyne are the delights of Le Père Manu. You will have the pleasure to find these family products in the restaurant and bar of the campsite!
